Great Broughton to Blakey Ridge (The Lion Inn)

Looking west towards Great Broughton from Clay Bank Top.

The Cleveland Way is well maintained and (as here) paved in places

The rugged beauty of the Yorkshire Moors.

Grouse Moors.

The easy path ahead.

A well drained path but with tricky bends at high speed.

For those who like high moorland there's ample big sky and
rugged beauty to be had.

More, but not the same

A fertile valley off to our west.

Our path leaves the Cleveland Way and joins the disused Rosedale Ironstone Railway track.
On the skyline our destination: The Lion Inn.
