Ingleby Cross to Great Broughton

Looking north west from the edge of the Yorkshire Moors National Park where
the Coast to Coast Path and the Cleveland Way merge into a single trail.

Even the extensive pines of Arncliffe Wood weren't sufficient to
absorb the motorway rumble drifting up from below.

Our path was clear - it followed the edge of the Moor.

Looking east towards the North Sea.

The Yorkshire Moors contain extensive areas of enclosed farmland.

Looking north west towards the industrial coastal region.

The hanger and airstrip for gliders.

The only 'flyers' when we passed were para-gliders.

Direction finding sheep always facing Magnetic North
(or south when in coalition).

The famous 'Wain Stones' block the path.

The final decent of the day with Clay Bank Top in the distance.
